Living with intention
One of the easiest things to do, and one of the first things I do every morning, is create a list of intentions for the day. Setting intentions creates a space for those intentions to manifest during the day. An intention can be as simple as “I am grateful” or “I am content” or it can be something that deals with interacting with others like “I will respond to whatever happens today – even if it irritates and frustrates me – from my highest self, with patience and presence”.
Setting intentions gives you a template of how you want your day to go, and helps set parameters of how you want to act and feel. The alternative is going about your day, reacting to everything, and feeling constantly blown about by various emotions and circumstances. Many spiritual seekers believe in creating their own reality and this is a perfect way to start each day. – D.N.
